PTF MH01212 HMC V7R73.5.0 Service Pack 1 HMC V7.3.5.0 Service Pack 1 This package updates your HMC from HMC V7R3.5.0 to HMC V7R3.5.0 Service Pack 1. You can also reference this package by APAR MB03304. Before you install this fix, PTF MH01212, you must first install one of the following upgrade packages: * PTF MH01194: HMC V7R3.5.0 Recovery image * PTF MH01185: HMC V7R3.5.0 Update image Notes 1. This package contains a fix for the Back up HMC Data function. IBM recommends backing up the HMC after applying this service pack and then discarding any older Version 7.3.5 backups. 2. The Install Corrective Service task now allows you to install corrective service updates from the ISO image files of these updates. You can download these ISO image files for the HMC, and then use the ISO image file to install the corrective service update. You no longer need to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use the ISO image file to install corrective service. To install updates over the network, select the *.iso file on the "Select Service Package" panel of the Install Corrective Service task. The HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service. If you are using USB flash media, copy the *.iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted. 3. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the *.iso file. Sample command: updhmc -t s -h -f /home/updates/.iso -u HMC_username -i Package information Package name Size Checksum APAR# PTF# HMC_Update_V7R350_SP1.iso 986537984 51901 MB03304 MH01212 Splash panel information (lshmc -v output) ==> lshmc -V "version= Version: 7 Release: 3.5.0 Service Pack: 1 HMC Build level 20100301.1 ","base_version=V7R3.5.0 " List of fixes and enhancements This package includes the following fixes: General fixes * Fixed a problem to prevent duplicate data (iqyypell.log) from being included in service event call home data. * Fixed a problem where the lslic command fails if an FSP or BPC is not connected, or has an error that prevents gathering of firmware levels.
