The timeout value has been increased for the new hardware. * Fixed a problem where a server managed by dual HMCs, one at 7.7.1 and one at 7.7.2 or later, may encounter corruption to the partition/profile configuration (HMC Save area). Problem symptoms include recovery state and errors attempting to activate a profile. * Fixed a problem where create system plan (mksysplan) fails due to exception in ViosUtils::setStoragePool. * Fixed a Reflected Cross site scripting vulnerability reported against some HMC Information pages. * Fixed a problem where HMC inventory may incorrectly use older, stale files. This can result in an error when sending inventory. * Fixed a problem where when one HMC updates a profile the other HMC may go into recovery state until it is rebooted. Repair and Verify * Fixed a problem where a DCA replace fails with the error message HSCL8018. * Removed unnecessary step to remove PCI rails for PCI FRU Exchange on 9117-MMB and 9179-MHB systems. * Corrected PCI FRU Location in summary graphic file for 9117-MMB and 9179-MHB systems. * Fixed a problem where P5 symbolic FRU InfoCenter procedures result in HTML Viewer Error. * Fixed an issue where connections are lost between HMC and FSP/BPA when performing an Exchange FRU on the BPC when using a single HMC environment. * Fixed an issue where the POWER5 59x location codes and graphics are displayed when attempting to do a Bulk Power HUB Add FRU concurrently for a POWER6 FHA. * Fixed an issue where the PU Book DCAs of a single PU Book of a 9119-FHB system did not get powered off when performing repairs using the SRC path instead of Exchange FRU. The DCA will now get deactivated, LED turned off, and the power should be off. * Fixed an issue where the procedure to remove and install the anchor VPD card was missing while performing a Mid-Plane Repair and Verify procedure on 9119-FHA. * Fixed an issue where the procedure to add a filler book install as each PU Book is removed to maintain midplane support when performing a midplane replacement procedure for models FHA/FHB. The procedure now has information for install and removal of filler books. * Fixed an issue where the Repair and Verify procedure for FSP cold repair on model MMB does not wait for the FSP to reconnect after all AC power is restored. * Fixed an issue where the next FRU is displayed automatically after restoring power. The user will now be presented with a panel to confirm the problem has been fixed or not. * Add panels for using the Front Cover Removal Tool to the Repair and Verify Serviceability procedure for 9117-MMB and 9179-MHB Systems. You can download these ISO image files for the HMC, and then use the ISO image file to install the corrective service update. You no longer need to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use the ISO image file to install corrective service. * The ISO image requires DVD-R media (should you choose to burn the image to media). * To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file on the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service task. The HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service. If you use USB flash media to install updates, copy the *.iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted. * The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the *.iso file to install corrective service. Follow the syntax in this example: updhmc -t s -h -f -u -i Back to top
