By default, only hmcsuperadmin users have access to the command lshmcldap. * Fixed a problem where serviceable event E23D040A may be generated on each HMC reboot. * Fixed GUI performance issues introduced in Service Pack 2. Symptoms may include: High HMC CPU use (E212E151); "Unresponsive script" errors followed by "Connectivity to the console has been lost" with forced disconnect on local logins; High CPU and memory use for remote browser sessions. * Fixed issue with lslparutil where every 2500th line is missing. * Fixed a problem that can result in E212E161 serviceable event. * Allow the pull down for VIOS levels in the Add Install Resource panel under Manage Install Resources task on the HMC and SDMC to show VIOS version 2.2 and 2.2.0. * Fixed issues with the CSR generated on the HMC so it no longer is deemed invalid. * Fixed an issue with the mount command displaying virtual filesystems mounted twice. * Fixed an issue where viewing virtual adapters incorrectly displays "WARNING: One or more of the logical port definitions referenced a shared adapter that is missing or not configured in shared mode.". * Fixed a security vulnerability with cross frame scripting. * Fixed a security vulnerability with frame injection. * Fixed security issue where SSL Anonymous Ciphers were added on port 9960. * Fixed a problem where the scheduled operation for NFS backup ignores the remote directory specification. Repair and Verify * Fixed timing during Power 775 BPA exchanges for a system with more than 4 CECs, the Low Power Mode messages will appear on the screen long enough for the CE to read them. * Corrected a problem where the Exchange procedure for the PCI shuttle assembly in a 5796 or 7314 I/O expansion unit fails with the message "HSCL0273 A command that was targeted to the managed system has timed out". Normally this exchange procedure fails if the system configuration includes eight or more I/O expansions units. * Enabled the concurrent maintenance of BPA related FRU on POWER 5 59x. * Corrected a problem on Initialize Frame(s) procedure where I/O Enclosures are not powered on and the managed system is not able to associate ownership with the I/O Enclosures. To burn the ISO image to media, you must use DVD-R media 2. The HMC Install Corrective Service task has been modified to allow corrective service installation by using the .iso packaging of the corrective service files that you can download from IBM. There is no requirement to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use these files to install the corrective service. * To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility. * To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted. 3. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example: updhmc -t s -h -f -u -i In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service. Back to top
