Mandatory fix for HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0

This package includes mandatory fixes for HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0. You can reference this package by APAR MB03609. This image must be installed on top of HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0 Recovery installation (MH01311).

This package includes the following fixes:

General

• Fixed a problem where setting a time reference lpar as restricted io mode capable fails with extended error. When trying to set this lpar suspend capable, enabling suspend capable succeeds but lpar fails to activate with extended error.
• Fixed a problem where while editing existing profile, and trying to add new virtual ethernet adapater the managed server intermittently shows Recovery state.

• Fixed a problem with getupgfiles CLI where it would not work if Installing an HMC level lower than R7V7.750.0.
• Fixed a RMC connection problem with IPv6 preventing connection without a name server to resolve hostnames..
• Fixed a problem when a shared memory pool is deleted and if there are no suspended partitions or remote restart capable partitions or any suspend/resume operation is in progress, the reserved storage pool is not deleted. Under those conditions, the reserved storage pool will now be deleted along with the shared memory pool
• Fixed a problem that prevented view network topology from accurately displaying all lpars
• Enhanced backup/restore to configure Ethernet adapters correctly when restored to same model, but different hardware
• Fixed pedbg collection to include the .screen_capture files
• Fixed mksysplan Inventory Gathering Error "Exception Occurred ? Message: null Cause: null to allow for / in lpar names and , in the wwpnlist
• Fixed HMC to honor SSH environment variables sent from the client
• Fixed an issue where a profile initialize or full restore from backup may fail to clear old data causing later profile activation to fail.
• Fixed an issue to prevent error HSCLB077 when performing a recovery operation for a failed active lpar migration
• Fixed an issue to prevent error HSCLA39F from occurring when running lslparmigr commands
• Fixed an issue where the Shared Processor pool reserved processing units value entered may be altered; ex entering 4.1 gives 4.09 instead.

Repair and Verify

• Fixed R&V Concurrent FSP Exchange on some 9117 and 9179 systems.

Notes:

• The HMC Install Corrective Service task now allows you to install corrective service updates by using the ISO of these updates. You can download these ISO image files for the HMC, and then use the ISO image file to install the corrective service update. You no longer need to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use the ISO image file to install corrective service.
• If you choose to burn this ISO image to a disk, you must use DVD-R media.
• Installation methods
  • To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility.
  • To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted.
  • The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example:
    updhmc -t s -h <myservername> -f </home/updates/corrrective_service.iso> -u <HMC_username> -i
  In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service.
