Fix for HMC Version 7 Release 7.4.0 Service Pack 2

This package includes a fix for HMC Version 7 Release 7.4.0 Service Pack 2. You can reference this package by APAR MB03619. This fix must be installed on top of HMC V7 R7.4.0 SP2.

This package includes the following fixes:

• Fixed a problem where concurrent round trip partition migrations may fail intermittently with error HSCLA296 due to RMC connection problems.
• Fixed RMC connection problem with IPv6 without DNS configured.
• Fixed several issues that could result in SaveaArea Directory file corruption.
• Fixed a problem where concurrent partition migrations may intermittently fail with error HSCLA29A and RMC return code 1021.
• Fixed problems in HMC Pegasus server where the provider maager path was not set. The problem impacts IBM Systems Director VMControl deployments. Errors include:
  "CIM_ERR_FAILED: Failed to load the Provider Manager for interface type "CMPI" from library "".";
  "DNZIMC032E Error occurred during deploy operation. Review the included error message and retry the request.";
  "DNZEMC766E A problem occurred. Exception encountered: com.ibm.director.im.common.exceptions.DeployException: DNZVMP711E The Create Virtual Server task failed to find the virtual server."

Notes:

• During the installation of this update the CIM server will be stopped and restarted. Prior to initiating this update you should ensure that all management console activity has completed.
