This package includes fixes for HMC Version 7 Release 7.6.0. You can reference this package by APAR# MB03660. This image can be installed on top of HMC Version 7 Release 7.6.0 Recovery installation (MH01326) or Update installation (MH01327) or Service Pack 1 (MH01329) with/without efixes.

This package provides the following fixes and new function:

General

• Fixed issues with IBM.LparCmdRM crashes.
• Fixed issue with missing keyboard mappings for Switzerland/Luxembourg KBID150G.
• Fixed an issue where change network settings incorrectly prompts the user to update the certificate and restart even when no changes that impact the certificate were made.
• Fixed issue with the mkauthkeys command failing for users with a '.'(period) in their user name.
• Improvement for lshwres performance, and possible command blocking problem on the management console, when theVIOS is in error state.
• Fixed issue with create System Plan failing on system with certain Virtual SCSI configurations.
• Fixed an issue with the creation of Serviceable Events on the management console creating an extraneous iqyymrge.log file.
• Fixed issue with inability to enter Japanese and Chinese text in the HMC's GUI interface.
• Fixed issue with command rnvi failing.
• Fixed issue with Create System Plan not generating the processor pool information for a profile if the profile is uncapped.
• Fixed a problem where BPC dumps initiated from the HMC were not saved to the HMC.
• Corrected the descriptions for several PCI cards including feature code 5767, 5735.

Repair and Verify

• Fixed issue where Power 7 710/720/730/740 system fan exchanges at A1 and A2 would not load the starting panel due to an incorrect resource path.
• Improvements were made to the MES WCII panels such that the user must make a selection prior to proceeding to completing the procedure.
• Added new panels to instruct disable/enable DSP mode while exchanging DCA concurrently on Power 795.
• Fixed an issue where performing an administrative failover (AFO) during an R&V operation may hang.

Security

• Fixed issue with LDAP authentication failures due to case sensitivity for user IDs when using the Microsoft Active Directory.

Notes:

1. To burn the ISO image to media, you must use DVD-R media
2. The HMC Install Corrective Service task has been modified to allow corrective service installation by using the .iso packaging of the corrective service files that you can download from IBM. There is no requirement to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use these files to install the corrective service.
   • To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility.
   • To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted.
3. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example:
   updhmc -t s -h <myservername> -f </home/updates/corrrective_service.iso> -u <HMC_username> -i

In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service.
