    PTF MH01356 Fix for HMC V7 R7.5.0 Service Pack 3

This package includes a fix for HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0 Service Pack
3. You can reference this package by APAR MB03694. This image can be
installed on top of HMC Version 7 Release 7.5.0 Gold Recovery
installation (MH01311) or HMC V7 Release 7.5.0 Service Pack 1 (MH01317)
or HMC V7 Release 7.5.0 Service Pack 2 (MH01336) with or without
additional PTFs installed.

    List of fixes

This package includes the following fixes.

  * Fixed an issue where lpar activation may fail with error HSCL058A
    Could not activate the partition. Refresh the interface and check
    whether the operation was performed.
  * Fixed an issue where resource starvation on the HMC can result in
    recovery state and loss of lpar definitions.
  * Fixed a performance issue related to too many open files reporting
    SRC E212E161.
  * Fixed an issue where serer firmware remove and activate task may
    hang.
  * Increased maximum ssh concurrent session limit to prevent random
    disconnect issue during concurrent lpar migration.
  * Fixed an issue where "Remote command execution" does not retain its
    value after an upgrade. This fix must be applied before running the
    Saveupgrade task.
  * Fixed an issue with HMC using power saving mode on the monitor.
  * Fixed a problem with mapping multiple virtual switches on a
    migration operation.


      Security Fixes

  * Fixed issue where security scan may fail due to session cookie does
    not contain the "secure" and "httponly" attribute.
  * Fixed an expired applet code signing certificate.
  * Fixed a security vulnerability with cross-site scripting.


      Repair and Verify

  * Fixed an issue with NullPointerException occurring during RV's 'wait
    for connection' procedure on FSP exchange.
  * Fixed non-concurrent repairs of Air Moving Device (AMD) that causes
    AMD activation to fail.
  * Fixed the R&V panels for memory DIMM locations on POWER 720 and
    POWER 740 systems.

    Additional information


      Notes:

 1. The Install Corrective Service task now allows you to install
    corrective service updates from the ISO image files of these
    updates. You can download these ISO image files for the HMC, and
    then use the ISO image file to install the corrective service
    update. You no longer need to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use the
    ISO image file to install corrective service.
 2. This image requires DVD -R media.
 3. To install updates over the network, select the *.iso file on the
    "Select Service Package" panel of the Install Corrective Service
    task. The HMC application extracts the files needed to install the
    corrective service. If you are using USB flash media, copy the *.iso
    file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted.
 4. The *updhmc* command line command has also been modified to use the
    *.iso file. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example:
    updhmc -t s -h <myservername> -f
    </home/updates/corrrective_service.iso> -u <HMC_username> -i

In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install
the corrective service.
