Back to top <#ibm-content> General fixes This package provides the following fixes: * Fixed issue where any changes made to serviceable event notification configuration from the GUI are logged as having been made by hscroot, regardless of which user actually made the change. * Corrected the list of feature codes displayed on the enhanced GUI for the following physical I/O adapters: CCIN 5729, 577D, 577F, 578D, 578E, 578F. * Fixed an issue where SRC E25CD21F was reported after a scratch install due to a timing issue of creating a directory /opt/ccfw/data/pciinfo during HMC bringup. * Corrected the network bridge ID name displayed to be NetworkBridge_vSwitchName_PvId or NetworkBridge_PvId on the network utilization trend performance monitoring dashboard GUI. This problem only occurred when additional VLAN IDs were configured for the virtual network. * Fixed an issue causing SSH keys stop working when logging into the HMC after an HMC update. This issue only occurs when the configuration relies on reverse name resolution for ssh access. * Fixed an issue where a managed system with 840 or older releases goes to Incomplete while performing Recover Partition data with SRR enabled partitions. * Enhanced the *lssyscfg -r sys* command to display the Active Memory Mirroring for Hypervisor licensed capability on servers for which that licensed capability is known. Fixed an issue where accessing a partition from the enhanced GUI prompts with an apply partition configuration message, clicking OK returns "/The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the tab. Do you want to close this tab?/" logging the user out. * Fixed an issue where the user does not receive notification if PTF or Service Pack installation fails due to insufficient filesystem space. Symptoms include the DHCP server not starting after installation. * Fixed a performance issue with Enhanced GUI when Topology information is queried after logon. Symptoms include CPU and memory values not appearing under managed systems or LPAR for several minutes and slow response performing dynamic changes to VFC adapters. * Suppressed SRC E212E122 from getting reported for any loop type mounted partition. * Fixed an issue where port 9920 was really enabled in the firewall regardless of the GUI settings. * Fixed an issue during netboot from the Activate wizard the default_profile was always sent regardless of what the customer had selected. * Fixed an issue with the Enhanced GUI to now display a prompt to save the change when the user switches to another property tab after entering a value in an input field. * Fixed an issue with the HMC's timezone setting getting reset to UTC after changing the date and/or time using the HMC GUI Change Date and Time function if the user does not explicitly set the timezone during the date/time change. * Fixed issue with USB flash drive not mounting after applying the 860 SP2 PTF MH01747. The symptom was lsmediadev showing an empty mount point:device=/dev/sdb1,mount_point=,type=3,description=USB flash memory device * Fixed a problem where the processor sharing mode for a dedicated processor partition was changed after a partition migration operation. This problem only occurred when the partition was migrated to a destination server managed by a different HMC than the source server and when the processor sharing mode for the partition on the source server was set to allow sharing when the partition is active. * Fixed a problem where after a Power enterprise pool recover operation where the processor or memory entitlement code for the pool failed the pool was put in a needs update state but a pool update operation could not clear that state. Error messages may include /HSCL90D9 Mobile CoD memory cannot be added to the server at this time because the Mobile CoD memory information for the Power enterprise pool needs to be updated. Update the pool using the most recent pool configuration file, and ensure that the server that has the Mobile CoD memory activation code for the pool is in Standby or Operating state when you perform the pool update operation/. and /HSCL90D8 The total entitled Mobile CoD memory in the Power enterprise pool is 0 GB, however there is currently xx GB of Mobile CoD memory assigned to systems in the pool. Verify that the managed system that has the current Mobile CoD memory activation for the pool is connected to the pool's master management console and is in Standby or Operating state, and perform a pool update operation./, or similar processor messages HSCL90DA and HSCL90D7. * Prevent another occurrence of the generation and call home of SRC E355104D when a task that is still running after the user logs out of the GUI tries to update a GUI page. * Added feature code for PCIe2 8Gb 2-port Fibre Channel Adapter. * Fixed an issue with the HMC rsyslog configuration that caused the following messages to be logged every time the HMC is booted: /rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="7.4.7" x-pid="30134" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] start. //rsyslogd-2307: warning: ~ action is deprecated, consider using the 'stop' statement instead [try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/2307 ]/ * Improved performance of event handling from managed system to prevent the HMC from hanging. Symptoms included performance slow down and CLI commands failing with /Connection reset by peer/ requiring an HMC reboot to recover. * Corrected an issue with the Create Power Enterprise Pool wizard preventing the HMC running the wizard from being displayed on the managing HMCs page when the HMC is managing one or more servers to be added to the pool. * Fixed issue where activating the novalink partition in co-managed mode is incorrectly looking for a profile because it was not set to bootable from the HMC. * Fix an issue with cleaning up old files on dump management. * Prevent a "/java out of date/" warning message from being displayed when a user launches a virtual terminal session on the local HMC console. Note that after installing this fix the warning message may be displayed one more time. If the user selects block, restarting the HMC will reset the block setting to not be blocked. The symptom of selecting block resulted in the vterm failing to launch a window. * Circumvented a rare problem causing the generation and call home of SRC E23D040A due to the hdwr_svr abnormally terminating. This problem only occurred immediately following a server restart. * Fixed HMC performance issues caused by too many User Access Key (UAK) warning popups after the UAK Expires. This can result in call home SRC E212E116 * Fixed an issue with getfile command where the command used to fail when user runs the command using sftp-key with passphrase with message "/The user ID and password or key combination is not valid./" * Fixed an issue where a message number but no message is displayed in the HMC console event log. This problem only occurs for virtual storage related messages. An example of the message is: /time=04/22/2018 11:43:28,text=2538./ * Fixed an issue that intermittently caused the command *lssyscfg -r lpar -m --osrefresh *to fail with the error "/HSCL1585 There was an unknown error while querying the object manager database/." * Fixed a rare problem that caused simplified remote restart capable partitions to transition into the Partial Update remote restart state and remain in that state for a long period of time. In addition, this problem caused the refdev command to fail with the error "/HSCL1585 There was an unknown error while querying the object manager database/." when run for those partitions. * Fixed a problem where closing an error window displayed when launching the Virtual Storage Management classic GUI task resulted in the display of another error window with the message "/An internal error has occurred. If possible an error log has been taken and if configured, the problem has been automatically reported. If the problem continues, please contact your service representative./" The internal error also caused the generation and call home of SRC E3550037. * Fixed a problem that caused the message "/Active Memory Mirroring for Hypervisor activation code is required to use memory mirroring./" to be always shown on the enhanced GUI General Settings panel for servers that support memory mirroring without an activation code. * Corrected all SRR capable partitions to block DLPAR add operation for adding a SRIOV logical port. * Corrected issue with install of SR-IOV firmware updates from the GUI when updates are available. * Fixed issue where *getupgfiles* and *getfile *commands fail when user uses sftp key without absolute path with message "/The user ID and password or key combination is not valid./" * Fixed issue where launch of Virtual Network panel from Enhanced GUI fails, if a prior Virtual Network delete operation fails with "/Managed System Busy/" error. Workaround required a rebuild of the managed system and retrying launching the virtual network management panel. * Fixed a problem where setting a new master HMC for a Power enterprise pool when the current master HMC is not running or not reachable on the network incorrectly returns the error "/HSCL251D There was an unknown internal management console error./" when it actually succeeds. * Updated network topology to always use actual netmask values for the adapters. * Fixed a problem causing system plan creation for some server models, including 8247-42L, 9119-MHE, and 9119-MME, with a PCIe expansion drawer cable card to fail with a message "/Exception Occurred in com.ibm.inventory.SysUtil:setSlotValuesDB/". * Fixed issue where email notification from Electronic Service Agent failed, when mail server sends multi line response. * Improved the message results when configuring with the Electronic Service Agent Setup Wizard, on the success panel after selecting Finish, the Test Problem Event is only supported on the hardware appliance and not a virtual console. * Added support for the Access Client Solutions (ACS) 5250 emulator "noop keepalive" to the IBM i 5250 console proxy.
