    Terminology

*x86* -  This term is used to reference the 7042-CR9 bare metal hardware
appliances and Intel hypervisors (KVM, VMWare, Xen) on which Virtual HMC
can be installed.
*ppc64 or ppc64le* - describes the Linux code that is compiled to run on
Power-based servers or LPARS (Logical Partitions)


    PTF MH01900 - HMC V9 R2 950.6 for 7042-CR9 only or vHMC for x86_64
    hypervisors (5765-HMW)

This package represents a fix for the HMC V9 R2 M950 release for
7042-CR9 or x86_64 hypervisors to be used as a prerequisite before
restoring a backup of  M952+. You can also reference this package by PTF
MH01900 and APAR MB04296. This PTF can be installed on HMC Version 9
Release 2 M950.

    PTF MH01901 HMC V9 R2 950.6 - for 7063 Machine Types or vHMC for
    PowerVM (5765-HMB)

This package represents a fix for the HMC V9 R2 M950 release on the 7063
machine type to be used as a prerequisite before restoring a backup of 
M952+. You can also reference this package by PTF MH01901 and APAR
MB04297. This PTF can be installed on HMC Version 9 Release 2 M950.

General fix*


  * This prerequisite PTF allows V9R2 Service Pack 2 (M952) and later to
    be restored over a V9R2M951 and V9R2M950 image.  If this PTF is not
    installed, the symptom on restore results in the following sequence:
    The HMC restore will fail and results in the HMC crashing and
    halting at the following message:

    "//sbin/reboot:symbol lookup error: /sbin/reboot: undefined symbol:
    bus_wait_for_units_new, version SD_SHARED/"
