    Terminology

*x86* -  This term is used to reference the Intel hypervisors (KVM,
VMWare, Xen) on which Virtual HMC can be installed. *Note:* HMC V10R1
release for x86 is not supported on bare metal (7042 hardware appliances).
*ppc64 or ppc64le* - describes the Linux code that is compiled to run on
Power-based servers or LPARS (Logical Partitions)


    PTF MF69186 HMC V10 R1 M1010.2 – for vHMC for x86_64 hypervisors 
    (5765-VHX)

This package represents a fix for the HMC V10 R1 M1010 release for vHMC
for x86_64 hypervisors to be used as a prerequisite before restoring a
backup of  M1020+. You can also reference this package by APAR MB04304
and PTF MF69186. This PTF can be installed on HMC Version 10 Release 1
M1010 or higher.

    PTF MF69187 HMC V10 R1 M1010.2 – for 7063 Hardware or vHMC for
    PowerVM (5765-HMB)

This package represents a fix for the HMC V10 R1 M1010 release on the
7063 machine types or vHMC for PowerVM to be used as a prerequisite
before restoring a backup of  M1020+. You can also reference this
package by APAR MB04305 and PTF MF69187. This PTF can be installed on
HMC Version 10 Release 1 M1010 or higher.

General fix*


  * This prerequisite restore PTF allows V10R1 M1020 and later to be
    restored over a V10R1 M1010 image. If this PTF is not installed, the
    HMC restore will fail and results in the HMC crashing and halting at
    the following message:

     /   "/sbin/reboot:symbol lookup error: /sbin/reboot: undefined
    symbol: bus_wait_for_units_new, version SD_SHARED"/
