This fix resolves a user logon issue when
logging on from a host which uses the sec_ego_default security plug-in, while the management
hosts use the sec_ego_pam_default
security plug-in, in an IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.3.2 cluster.

instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts
in your cluster.
Prerequisites
Fix 601349 must be installed before applying this fix package.
System requirements
Linux x86_64
Installing on IBM
Spectrum Symphony management hosts
a.
Log on to the primary host as the cluster
administrator, stop all EGO services and shut down the primary host:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown
b.
Download the fix package to each management host,
for example, to a /symfixes
directory.
c.
Run the egoinstallfixes
command to install the egocore-4.0.0.0_x86_64_build601499.tar.gz file:
> egoinstallfixes /symfixes/egocore-4.0.0.0_x86_64_build601499.tar.gz
Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command
automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for
recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you
want to recover the original files. For more information on using this
command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.
d. Run the pversions command to verify the installation:
> pversions -b 601499
e. Start the primary host:
> egosh ego start
If required, follow the instructions in this section to
uninstall this interim fix from your cluster:
a.
Log on to the primary host as the cluster
administrator, stop all EGO services and shut down the primary host:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown
b.
Log on to each management host, and running this
command to roll back the fix:
> egoinstallfixes -r 601499
c.
Start the primary host:
> egosh ego start
4.0/linux-x86_64/lib/sec_ego_pam_default.so
