Overview

This document contains release notes for IBM Rational AppScan – Enterprise Edition, IBM Rational AppScan Reporting Console and IBM Rational Policy Tester.  This product comprises three core components that can be installed together or separately across multiple machines:  the Control Center is the web-based user interface; the Agents run jobs, dashboards and report packs; and the Alerting Service monitors and sends Alerts.

1. Prerequisites

·         You must install IBM Rational AppScan – Enterprise Edition, IBM Rational AppScan Reporting Console or IBM Rational Policy Tester 5.4.0.2 before installing Interim Fix 001.


2. Product fix history

This interim fix contains fixes. APAR numbers, if applicable, are in parentheses:

  • Componentizing JSX.
  • (PK67912) Jobs with automatic form fill enabled and empty user/name password fields suspend.
  • (PK69340) Quickscan user gets inappropriate buttons depending on which folder opened first.
  • (PK68940) Need to view more than 5 tabs in Dashboard.
  • (PK69157) In starting domains, only scan links in and below the directory of each starting URL apply to testing as well.
  • (PK72593) Job suspends with INSERT statement conflicts with FOREIGN KEY.
  • (PK69657) Scan scheduler does not work when schedule exclusions are set.
  • (PK69075) retrieve-html-with-inline XRule function missing text.
  • (PK71229) Exception when executing XRule.
  • (PK70733) Post-processing is extremely slow on large jobs with a varying page count.

3. Installation requirements and instructions

This section takes you through the steps to install the Interim Fix.

 

  1. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the executable and double-click the file ASE_5.4SP2-IF001_Setup.exe.
  2. In the Setup Wizard, click Next.
  3. In the License Agreement dialog box, choose the I accept the terms in the license agreement option, and then click Next.
  4. In the Choose Components dialog box, select your components based on server configuration, and then click Install to proceed with the installation.
    • For single server, select (Agent Server, Control Center, Config Instance)
    • For multiple servers, select (Agent Server) for Server, (Control Center, Config Instance) for Control Center.
    • For multiple instances on a single server, the same as single server.
  1. The Interim Fix is installed. When the installation is finished, it will launch the Configuration Wizard (If Config Instances is selected), then click Next.
  2. Exit the installation.

 

 


4. Uninstallation

Uninstalling the interim fix is not supported.

 


5. IBM Rational Software Support

When you contact IBM Rational Software Support, the support representative will require the version of the installed products or interim features on your system.

To determine the version:

  1. Go to Control Center.
  2. Click on the About link.
