This Readme file contains last-minute product information and updates to Telelogic System Architect® V11.2. Issues fixed in this release are specified in the ‘Fixed Problems’ section. This Readme is divided into the following sections:

Installing System Architect V11.2

IMPORTANT NOTE: System Architect V11.2 is a full installation. If you have SA V11.1, SA V11.0 or earlier installed on your computer, you must uninstall those versions before you install SA V11.2.

Installation Prerequisite

System Architect and the System Architect Telelogic for DOORS® Interface require that the Microsoft® Windows® Installer 3.1 service be installed on the operating system of the target computer. If it is not present, the installation stops and you are notified how to obtain and install the Windows Installer 3.1.

To install System Architect V11.2, proceed as follows:

  1. Make sure you uninstall earlier System Architect versions from your computer.
  2. Download System Architect V11.2.
  3. Open the folder into which you downloaded the software and click on the System Architect V11.2 installation file.

System Architect's paid add-on products, Telelogic System Architect Compare™, Telelogic System Architect Publisher™ and Telelogic System Architect Simulator II™, along with its SA Viewer simulation engine, are installed with System Architect. These products are enabled by purchased licenses made available through licence files.

Operating System Locales

System Architect is supported on all locales. Specific tests are performed on the English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and German versions of the Windows operating systems listed above.


Compatible IBM Products

All System Architect supporting products, such as SA Compare, System Architect Publisher and SA Catalog Manager must be at the same exact version as System Architect, so if you upgrade System Architect, you must upgrade these other products as well. For SA V11.2, this requires that you uninstall these products, and install the newer version of each.

Changing default diagram properties for 'MoDAF AcV-2 Acquisition Progamme'

All values in the 'Behavior' tab of the 'MoDAF AcV-2 Acquisition Progamme' diagram properties are set to 'F' by default. You can change them to 'T' by default by inserting the code below into the encyclopedia's USRPROPS.TXT file, as follows:

  1. In System Architect, open the encyclopedia you wish to modify.
  2. Click Tools and select Encyclopedia File Manager.
  3. Click Export file, select USRPROPS.TXT and click the '...' (ellipsis) button to the right of the External file name field.
  4. Select a target folder, name the file USRPROPS.TXT and click Save.
  5. Click Export and click OK in the confirmation dialog.
  6. Click Exit.
  7. With a text Editor open the exported USRPROPS.TXT file and insert the following code:

    }

    Each PROPERTY above is a field name in the 'Behavior' tab of the 'MoDAF AcV-2 Acquisition Progamme' Diagram Properties dialog. When enabled, the properties behave as described by their field names below. When not enabled, they behave as otherwise described. The field names are as follows:

  1. Save and close the USRPROPS.TXT file.
  2. In System Architect, click Tools and select Encyclopedia File Manager.
  3. In the Destination encyclopedia field, click the '...' button, select the encyclopedia and click OK.
  4. In the Action group, select Import file.
  5. In the External file name field, click the '...' button, select the USRPROPS.TXT file that you edited and click Open.
  6. Click Import.
  7. Click OK in the confirmation dialog and click Exit.
  8. Reopen the encyclopedia for the new default values to take effect when you create new MoDAF AcV-2 Acquisition Progamme diagrams.

    Optionally, to have new encyclopedias you create use the new default values, copy the USRPROPS.TXT file that you edited to the System Architect application folder (usually C:\Program Files\Telelogic\System Architect Suite\System Architect).

Fixed Problems
