IBM® Rational® Developer for Power Systems Software V8.0 includes a rich set of integrated development tools for C/C++ on AIX and Linux, COBOL on AIX, RPG and COBOL on IBM i, and Java, with capabilities such as file management, searching, editing, analysis, build, and debug all integrated into an Eclipse workbench.
Built on Eclipse 3.6.1, an extensible platform for constructing and integrating software tools, IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software is a part of the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform series of products.
For information about installing IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software, V8.0, including hardware and software requirements, see the IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software, V8.0 Installation Guide (InstallationGuide.html) which can be viewed from the installation launchpad. This file is also stored in the documents directory on the product DVD.
- Intel 1 GHz processor minimum (higher is recommended).
- 1 GB RAM; 2 GB RAM recommended.
- Minimum: 1 GB of disk space is required for product package installation. Additional disk space is required for the resources that you develop.
- 1024 x 768 resolution minimum (or higher for best results).
- Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.
