Hardware Prerequisites

This section describes the hardware requirements for SDL Suite and TTCN Suite.

Supported Architectures

UNIX Installation Prerequisites

SDL Suite and TTCN Suite on UNIX includes binaries for several different computer architectures, examples and on-line help files.

To run SDL & TTCN Suite on Linux Redhat 5 the following packages must be installed:

libXp 1.0.0-8.1.el5
libstdc++ 4.1.2-42.el5
libstdc++-devel 4.1.2-42.el5
libgomp 4.1.2-42.el5
cpp 4.1.2-42.el5
glibc-common 2.5-24
glibc 2.5-24
glibc-headers 2.5-24
glibc-devel 2.5-24
libgcc 4.1.2-42.el5
gcc 4.1.2-42.el5
gcc-c++ 4.1.2-42.el5

On Linux Red Hat 5, SELinux is enabled by default. In order for Rational TTCN Suite to perform correctly, SELinux must be disabled for the file "libccg.so" if Rational TTCN Suite is installed locally. If the installation is done on a file share this is not necessary. This is done by executing the command as root:

chcon -t texrel_shlib_t <inst dir>/bin/linuxbin/libccg.so

Windows Installation Prerequisites

SDL Suite and TTCN Suite for Windows includes binaries for the computer architectures Windows 7/Vista/XP, examples and on-line help files.

SDL Suite and TTCN Suite files can be installed once on a network server for all users, or locally on each user's PC.

Run-time Prerequisites

To run the SDL Suite and TTCN Suite tools properly you need a certain amount of main memory and swap size; see Operating System.
