IBM® Rational® Programming Patterns 9.5.1 iFix 8

Purpose

This Interim Fix applies to IBM® Rational® Programming Patterns 9.5.1.

Installation prerequisites

This update requires that you have already installed one of the packages listed in the above section.

Installation instructions

1. Extract RPP951_iFix008_Client.zip to a temporary directory.

For example, on Windows:

c:\temp

2. Installation Manager Updates

Start Installation Manager and add the "diskTag.inf" file path (of the sub directory "disk1") in the Repositories list of the Preference tool of Installation Manager

For example:

c:\temp\RPP951_iFix008Client\disk1\diskTag.inf

Click OK and go back to the Installation Manager main page.

3. Installations:

On Installation Manager, click on "Update" and choose the Package to update then follow the Installation Instructions.

Associated level of RPP Server

It is recommended to use this Rational Programming Patterns 9.5.1 iFix 8 Client with the Rational Programming Patterns 9.5.1 Server.

Associated level of Pacbase

It is highly recommended to use this interim Fix with the corresponding level of Pacbase when working on the migration process from Pacbase to RPP:

Pacbase 3.5 Y10F

To migrate Servers (MIA4 procedure) with the version 9.5.1 interim Fix 004 or higher, you must apply the Pacbase 3.5 F104 Fix to the Pacbase 3.5 Y10F package.
