After it is complete: If successful, continue to Step 15 If failure, DO NOT remove power from the card, contact support. Stop here 15. Activate the firmware If card IS NOT located in a PCIe Expansion Drawer: Shutdown entire POWER system. Leave off for 15 seconds. If card IS located in a PCIe Expansion Drawer: Perform a PCI hotplug replace procedure (without actually replacing the adapter) 16. Power the system back on or bring the card back via PCI hotplug replace if in PCIe Expansion Drawer Linux: 1. Verify the firmware file is located in '/tmp' 2. Run "rs_patch ", with root privilidges. Example: # rs_patch rsxx.07_08818 Operating on device: /dev/rsxx0 3 images available for patching Are you sure you want to continue? Enter 'Yes' to confirm: 3. Enter "Yes" and press "Enter" to confirm the applying the patch. The following should be displayed after it completes: Operating on device: /dev/rsxx0 3 images available for patching Are you sure you want to continue? Enter 'Yes' to confirm: Yes Analyzing 100.0% * Beginning firmware update. * * DO NOT INTERRUPT * Patching 100.0% Verifying 100.0% * Patch completed successfully. * * A power cycle is required. * 4.
