IBM Elastic Storage Server (ESS) Data Access Edition ver
5.3.7.3 for ppc64le architecture is composed of various
components tested together for compatibility and correctness.
Key components are RHEL, IBM Spectrum Scale RAID V5.0.5 PTF 10
and Power System Firmware.

4.2 ESS ver 5.3.7.3 is shipped with OFED level
MLNX_OFED_LINUX-4.9-3.1.5.3 and it is installed and upgraded as
part of the ESS ver 5.3.7.3 solution.
It is highly recommended not to install or update OFED outside the
ESS solution.
4.3 ESS Server Node System Firmware and IBM PCIe3 x8 Cache SAS RAID
Internal Adapter Firmware
IBM Elastic Storage Server Data Server (5148-22L) is used as the
IO Server Node and IBM Elastic Storage Server Management Server
(5148-21L) is used as ESS Management Server (EMS) node.

4.4 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Level and update considerations
ESS 5.3.7.3 release is tested with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v7.9
Once errata kernel is applied it should show

Once errata systemd is applied it should show
systemd release: 219-78.el7_9.3.ppc64le
Once errata network manager is applied it should show
network manager release: 1.18.8-2.el7_9.ppc64le
User can update RHEL as needed to address fixes and security
updates. It is highly recommended to limit errata updates
applied to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system used
in the ESS solution to security errata or errata updates requested

4.5 Package location when shipped from factory
ESS 5.3.7.3 package when shipped from factory is located in /home/deploy
directory of the ESS Management Server (EMS) node. Review /home/deploy
directory of the EMS node for other support packages required for this
release.
