Search for keyword 'ProtecTIER' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. Restrictions and known issues - Before performing any configuration operation, upgrade both nodes to the same patch level. - Do not move a cartridge from the shelf of the remote repository while it is the target of a replication operation. Issue ID Description Workaround -------- ----------- ---------- 9035 PT Manager does not start when working in Dual Mode Refrain from working with Dual Mode Display display with specific drivers of Nvidia graphic cards 9149 When using ptcli for moving cartridges, vtfd service Call IBM Software Support cannot be stopped until all cartridges are moved successfully. 10438 In case of service vtfd stop during config session, error Restart VTFD messages appear in vtf_internal.log "Send GetCMState failed - AC_RPC_CANTSEND" 10445 The directories /dev/cdrom and /dev/dvd disapear; Run Linux command /sbin/start_udev to recreate them this is caused by a DD4 IMM issue. 10636 Replication failure (rare). The following error appears in Call IBM support in the vtf_internal.log: "NrmTriggerManager::LinkedList:: IsValid: m_head is NRM_TRIGGER_MGR_NOT_A_PAGE&& m_size = 1" 10892 Unexpected fence node in cluster may cause reboot to the Call IBM support ProtecTIER node (this is a rare Red Hat issue. The fenced node starts as fenced. After a reboot, the system is fully functional. 10994 After repository creation, the PT Manager GUI shows Manually select the repository view the previous view. 11063 The PT Manager GUI does not return to repository view Manually select the repository view after an increase in capacity. 11089 R2.5-VTL-Chassis Event Log 100% full - preventing new Clear the logs as follows: hardware error entries - needs to wrap or FIFO a) Telnet to the TSSC & Internal Error b) Enter "readlog" and analyze the problem c) Quit readlog d) Clear the log by entering "clearlog" 11091 When setting the VTL port speed higher then the card limit Call IBM support (for example, setting 8G for a 4G hardware) through the PT Manager GUI, the system reverts to the previous speed with no warning. 12656 The maximum number of OpenStorage Restore streams supported Use a maximum of 256 Restore streams in OpenStorage is 256. 13224 Performing a bug check for both nodes when the cluster Reboot both nodes.
