    This fix pack supersedes all previous patches for Security Virtual Server Protection for VMware 1.0


    Installing the Security Virtual Server Protection fix pack.

      

    Steps for installing this fix pack on Security Virtual Server Protection version 1.0

    To install Security Virtual Server for VMware Fix Pack 1:

    1. Extract the files in the 1.0.0.1-TIV-VSP-FP001.zip file to a temporary location.
    2. Copy the file 20100720_roll_up_esxi_407076.sh to the root directory on the Security Virtual Server Protection machine.
    3. Run the file using the following command:
      sh 20100720_roll_up_esxi_407076.sh
    4. Wait for the patch to finish the installation

    PatchID Summary
    1346 High CPU utilization in VMO process (iss-vmo) and signal 11 when using a distributed virtual switch.
    1346 Added functionality for enabling NTP (Network Time Protocol) through the admin menu.
    1346 Removal of an unused diagnostic port on the SVM.
    1346 High cpu on discovery processes (iss-dsc, iss-dsc-cam) if the process is automatically restarted due to an application error.
    1346 Uninstall using provVsetup utility may remove previously configured virtual switches on ESXi. With this fix, only switches that were specifically created for use by Security Virtual Server Protection for VMware will be removed.
