Virtual Machines attributes

The virtual machine attribute group contains information about virtual machines, including virtual machine name, containing host name, UUID, state, number of CPUs, CPU time, memory used, life-cycle control, and CPU requirements.

The following comprises a list of the attributes for this attribute group. The name in bold text shows how the attribute appears in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

Node The managed system name of the agent.

Timestamp The value is the time collected from the agent system when the data row was built and sent from the agent to the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server (or stored for historical purposes). It represents the local time zone of the agent system.

Host Name The name of the host.

Virtual Machine Name The name of the virtual machine.

Virtual Machine UUID The UUID of the virtual machine.

Virtual Machine State The running state of the virtual machine.

Virtualization Type The type of virtualization used by this virtual machine. 'hvm' means full virtualization, which is used by KVM; 'linux' means para virtualization, which is used by XEN.

Number Of Virtual CPUs The number of virtual CPUs in the virtual machine.

Sample Timestamp The date and time UTC of the most recent CPU measurement.

Sample Time Delta (sec) The time duration of the most recent measurement period in seconds.

Total CPU Time (sec) The CPU time used in seconds.

CPU Time Delta (sec) The CPU time used during the most recent measurement period in seconds.

CPUs Consumed The equivalent number of real CPUs consumed by this virtual machine.

CPU Percent The composite CPU percent of this virtual machine across all virtual CPUs.

Memory Allocated (GB) The maximum memory allocated and available for the virtual machine in GB.

Memory Used (GB) The memory used by the virtual machine in GB.

Memory Percent The percent of allocated memory that has been used by this virtual machine.

Action On PowerOff The action to take when the virtual machine requests a power-off.

Action On Reboot The action to take when the virtual machine requests a restart.

Action On Crash The action to take when the virtual machine crashes.

CPU Match How strictly the virtual CPU provided to the virtual machine must match these requirements.

CPU Model The CPU model requested for the virtual machine.

Number of Sockets The requested number of CPU sockets for the virtual machine.

Cores Per Socket The requested number of cores per socket for the virtual machine.

Threads Per Core The requested number of threads per core for the virtual machine.

CPU Shares The scheduler parameter, cpu_shares, for the virtual machine.
