Sign On Window

To sign on to the topology server, use the following fields and check boxes:

User Name
Specify a valid name or ID, if required.
Note: To sign on to the topology server, your operator ID must be authorized using the PERMIT keyword in the CNMSCAT2 Command Authorization Table.

Password
Specify your password, if required.

Host Machine
Specify the host name or IP address of the topology server to which you are signing on. If you have reassigned the topology server port, you must also specify the port number using one of the following formats:

host_name:port_number
IPv4_address:port_number
[IPv6_address]:port_number

Restore console preferences
Select this optional check box to open the console window with the preferences you last saved.

Administrator access
Select this optional check box to enable functions in the Console Properties notebook, such as saving defaults across all consoles of this topology server or saving view customization.

More than one operator can sign on to a particular server with administrative access. Note that the last operator to save changes overwrites the previous changes made by other operators with administrative access. Only authorized operators can request administrative access.

Click one of the following buttons:

OK
To sign on to the topology server.
Cancel
To close the Sign On window without signing on to the topology server.
Note: The Cancel button is not available after you click OK. Therefore, you cannot stop the sign on process with the Cancel button after the process has begun.
