ABOUT THIS FIX

This fix package contains fixes for the IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On AccessAgent software. 8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041 contains all fixes from the previous fix pack. For information about issues that are resolved in the previous fix pack, including the manual configurations, see the previous fix pack readme file.

This iFix corrects the following new issues found in IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, version 8.2 release:

INSTALLING THIS FIX

Before you begin

Ensure that:
  • AccessAgent version 8.2 is installed.
  • You have administrator privileges.

Procedure

  1. Download the AccessAgent installer file from Fix Central into your local computer. For example: C:\Temp.
    For Windows 32-bit
    8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_32.msp
    For Windows 64-bit
    8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_64.msp

  2. Run the AccessAgent installer file with administrator privileges.
    Note: For Windows 7, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
    For Windows 32-bit
    msiexec /p "8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_32.msp"
    For Windows 64-bit
    msiexec /p "8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_64.msp"

  3. Click Finish. The ISAMESSO AccessAgent Installer Information window is displayed.
  4. Click Yes.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Right-click the AccessAgent tray icon in the system tray and select About ISAMESSO AccessAgent. The AccessAgent version is displayed.

    If you successfully installed 8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041, the AccessAgent version is updated to 8.2.0.3480 and the AccessAgent maintenance level is IF0041.

Silent Installation Procedure

Alternatively, you can do a silent installation of the fix.

Use the following script for silent installation on a command line. You must have administrator privileges.
Note: For Windows 7, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
For Windows 32-bit
msiexec /p "8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_32.msp" /quiet
For Windows 64-bit
msiexec /p "8.2.0-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-IF0041_64.msp" /quiet

UNINSTALLING ACCESSAGENT

Use the Windows Control Panel or Start menu shortcut to uninstall the AccessAgent from the computer.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have administrator privileges.

About this task

You can uninstall AccessAgent either directly from the Windows Start menu shortcuts or through the Control Panel.

Procedure
  1. Choose one of the following methods to open the software removal utility:
    • Select Start > All Programs > ISAM ESSO AccessAgent > Uninstall ISAM ESSO AccessAgent.
    • On Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, select Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > ISAM ESSO AccessAgent > Remove.

    You are prompted to confirm whether you want to uninstall the product.

  2. Click Yes. AccessAgent is uninstalled.
    Note:
    If you uninstall AccessAgent x64 from Windows 7 x64, the following message is displayed:
    The setup must update files or services that cannot be updated 
    while the system is running. If you choose to continue, 
    a reboot will be required to complete the setup.

What to do next

Verify that the installation directory for AccessAgent is removed.
