Use the TCP Connections Shared Memory Communications attributes to display status and identifying SMC information for a specific TCP connection.
Agent STC Name The OMEGAMON for Networks on z/OS started task name. The default is IBMN3. A valid value is a string of up to 8 characters.
Application Name The job name associated with the application address space that opened and bound the socket. A valid value is a string of up to 8 characters.
Collection Time The time and date at which status information was collected. This time is displayed in the following format:
mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss (Tivoli Enterprise Portal) or yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss (3270)
Where:
This time is stored as a string no longer than 16 characters in the format CYYMMDDHHMMSSmmm (as in 1020315064501000 for 03/15/02 06:45:01) where:
Hex Connection Number The hexadecimal representation of the connection number. A valid value is an integer, displayed as a hexadecimal string.
Local IP Address The local IP address for this connection. A valid value is a string of up to 45 characters.
Local Port The local port for this connection. A valid value is an integer.
Local Port String The local port for this connection as a string. A valid value is a string of up to 5 characters.
Local SMC Buffer Size The size, in KB, of the memory buffer used by the local host for receiving data on this connection from the remote host. A valid value is an integer.
Local SMC Link ID Local SMC-R or SMC-D link id. A valid value is an integer.
LPAR Name The name of the logical partiation (LPAR). A valid value is a string of up to 8 characters.
Origin Node The unique identifier for the TCP/IP stack being displayed. A valid value is a string of up to 32 characters.
Peer Set SMC Reason Indicates whether or not the remote peer set the reason why Shared Memory Communication is not being used for this connection. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
Reason No SMC-D SMC-R or SMC-D reason code explains why the connection is not using an SMC-R or SMC-D link. When the Peer Set SMC reason attribute has the value SMC-R or SMC-D, see the peer's documentation for an explanation. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
Reason No SMC-R SMC-R or SMC-D reason code explains why the connection is not using an SMC-R or SMC-D link. When the Peer Set SMC reason attribute has the value SMC-R or SMC-D, see the peer's documentation for an explanation. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
Remote IP Address The remote IP address for this connection. A valid value is a string of up to 45 characters.
Remote Port The remote port for this connection. A valid value is an integer.
Remote Port String The remote port for this connection as a string. A valid value is a string of up to 5 characters.
Remote SMC Buffer Size The size, in KB, of the memory buffer used by the remote host for receiving data on this connection from the local host. A valid value is an integer.
Remote SMC Link ID Remote SMC-R or SMC-D link id. A valid value is an integer.
SMC Reason Cached Indicates whether or not the reason why Shared Memory Communication is not being used for this connection is from a prior attempt to negotiate SMC-R or SMC-D. No attempt to use SMC-R or SMC-D was made for this connection due to previous failed attempts. The reason given was the reason saved from when the last negotiation for SMC failed. z/OS Communications Server may attempt to use SMC-R or SMC-D for future connections. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
SMC Status Indicates the status of Shared Memory Communication for this connection. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
SMC-D Configured Indicates whether or not SMC-D was configured. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
SMC-R Configured Indicates whether or not SMC-R was configured. A valid value is an integer. Values appear on the workspace as follows:
Sysplex Name The name of the sysplex that this LPAR is a member of. A valid value is a string of up to 8 characters.
System ID The System Management Facility (SMF) system identifier for the z/OS system where the OMEGAMON for Networks monitoring agent collected the data. A valid value is a string of up to 4 characters.
TCPIP STC Name The TCP/IP started task name. A valid value is a string of up to 8 characters.
