Description
This readme provides information about the patch available in this interim
fix. This fix can be installed on IBM® WebSphere® RFID
Premises Server 1.1.0.1 if you have already applied APAR IC50332.
This APAR fixes an issue where the WebSphere
RFID Administrative Console Tags page does not properly sort tags when there
are more tags than fit on one page. When you apply this fix, the tags are
sorted in the following order:
- Descending by tag date/time stamp
- Descending by tag history
- Descending by tag ID

This interim fix for WebSphere RFID Premises Server supports the hardware
and software versions listed on the
system
requirements page.
Installing the fix
Use these instructions to install the interim fix on an existing installation
of WebSphere RFID Premises Server 1.1.0.1.
- Unzip the APAR ZIP file, IC50660.zip, included in this fix to a
local directory, such as C:\IC50660.
- Start WebSphere Application Server.
- Stop the "IBM Premises Event Server" application by navigating
to Applications -> Enterprise Applications in
the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console, selecting the checkbox
beside "IBM Premises Event Server", and clicking Stop.
- Stop the "IBM Premises Admin Console" application by selecting
the checkbox beside "IBM Premises Admin Console" and clicking Stop.
- Uninstall
the "IBM Premises Event Server" application by selecting the checkbox
beside "IBM Premises Event Server" and clicking Uninstall.
- Uninstall the "IBM Premises Admin Console" application by
selecting the checkbox beside "IBM Premises Admin Console" and clicking Uninstall.
- Save your configuration changes.
- Install the new "IBM Premises Event Server" application
from the IBMPremisesEventServer.ear. To install the application,
navigate to Applications
-> Install New Application in the WebSphere
Application Server Administrative Console. Then browse to the local path
of the IBMPremisesEventServer.ear file from the APAR ZIP file.
Choose the appropriate installation options for your configuration. Be
sure to select the check box for Deploy EJBs and select
the correct back-end folder for
the
database
you
are
using (either DB2 or Oracle).
- Install the new "IBM Premises Admin Console" application from the IBMPremisesAdminConsole.ear.
To install the application, navigate to Applications -> Install
New Application in the WebSphere Application Server Administrative
Console. Then browse to the local path of the IBMPremisesAdminConsole.ear file
from the APAR ZIP file. Choose the appropriate installation options for your
configuration. Be
sure to select the check box for Deploy EJBs and select
the correct back-end folder for
the
database
you
are
using (either DB2 or Oracle).
- Navigate to Applications -> Enterprise Applications and
click IBM
Premises Admin Console.
- On the bottom of the Configuration tab,
in the Additional Properties table, click the Libraries link.
- On the Library References page, click Add and select Struts
1.1 as the new library name. Then click OK.
- Save your configuration changes.
- Start the "IBM Premises Event Server" application by navigating
to Applications -> Enterprise Applications in
the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console, selecting the checkbox
beside "IBM Premises Event Server", and clicking Start.
- Start the "IBM Premises Admin Console" application by navigating
to Applications -> Enterprise Applications in
the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console, selecting the checkbox
beside "IBM Premises Admin Console", and clicking Start.
- Restart WebSphere Application Server.
- Restart SMF.
- Verify that the Tags page is sorting the list properly.
