WebSphere Business Services Fabric 6.2 launch pad does not work under AIX environment.

Defect(s) Found

WebSphere Business Services Fabric launch pad does not support default “ksh” shell on AIX machine and hence giving error message “No supported shelll could be found”. 

Fixes Made

• An interim Fix has been provided in the form of Fabric Foundation pack AIX installer (label WBSF62_JR32662_AIX_FoundactionPack_iFix003.zip)
• This fix updates the WBSF 6.2 installable.

Installing iFix

1) Extract the WBSF62_JR32662_AIX_FoundactionPack_iFix003.zip.

2) Go to “installers” folder and run the install_fabric_ifix_aix.

3) Use the following procedure to install the WebSphere Business Services Foundation Pack fix 003.

1. On the Language Selection panel: Select preferred language from the drop down box. Click OK.

2. From the Welcome panel, select Next to continue.

3. In the Choose Install Folder panel, give the appropriate folder where you want to install this iFix. Click Next.

4. Specify the launch pad extracted location. This is the location where you had extracted the WBSF 6.2 installable. Click Next.

5. In the Pre-Installation Summary panel, click on Install button.

6. On successful installation click on Done to exit installer.
