1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE
---------------------------

This README provides information about the patch available in this Interim Fix.

This fix can be installed on IBM Asset Inventory Management Services for WebSphere Sensor Events server 6.2.


2.0 INCLUDED IN THIS INTERIM FIX
---------------------------------

The following reported program defects are fixed in this update:

o  IC62467: Asset Inventory Management Services does not show Last Seen Assets report properly until a number of hours later


3.0 INSTALLATION
-----------------

3.1 Prerequisites

o  You must have Administrator access to update WebSphere Sensor Events server.

o  It is assumed that WebSphere Sensor Events server is already installed.


3.2 Installation Procedure

1. Unpack the zip file, IC62467.zip, to the WebSphere Sensor Events server folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance.  The zip file contains the files: 
     GenericDatacenterReport25_100char.sql
     IC62467-readme.txt
     WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62467.fxtag

2. Apply this fix to the WebSphere Sensor Events server DB2 IBMRFID database instance as follows:


     Start -> Programs -> IBM DB2 -> DB2COPY1 (Default) -> Command Line Tools -> Command Window

     C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN>cd \Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance

     C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance>db2 connect to ibmrfid user db2admin
     Enter current password for db2admin:

        Database Connection Information

      Database server        = DB2/NT 9.5.2
      SQL authorization ID   = DB2ADMIN
      Local database alias   = IBMRFID

     C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance>db2 DROP PROCEDURE DCOESCHEMA.GenericDatacenterReport
     DB20000I  The SQL command completed successfully.

     C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance>db2 DROP TABLESPACE AVSTEMP1
     DB20000I  The SQL command completed successfully.

     C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance>db2 -td^^ -f GenericDatacenterReport25_100char.sql
     DB20000I  The SQL command completed successfully.

     DB20000I  The SQL command completed successfully.


3. Copy the WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62467.fxtag file to this folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\properties\version
     

4.0 UNINSTALLATION
-------------------

1. Delete the file located at: C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\properties\version\WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62467.fxtag
