1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE
---------------------------

This README provides information about the patch available in this Interim Fix.

This fix can be installed on IBM Asset Inventory Management Services for WebSphere Sensor Events server 6.2.


2.0 INCLUDED IN THIS INTERIM FIX
---------------------------------

The following reported program defects are fixed in this update:

o  IC62727: Asset Inventory Management Services ItemType property incorrectly disables min/max length for more than 10 properties


3.0 INSTALLATION
-----------------

3.1 Prerequisites

o  You must have Administrator access to update WebSphere Sensor Events server.

o  It is assumed that WebSphere Sensor Events server is already installed.


3.2 Installation Procedure

1. Unpack the .zip file, IC62727.zip, to the WebSphere Sensor Events server folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance.  The .zip file contains the files: 
     itemType.js
     IC62727-readme.txt
     WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62727.fxtag

2. Back up (move) the existing \Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\AVSEnterprise.ear\ibmatv_ATVWeb.war\javascript\itemType.js 
   file to the \Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance\IC62727\backup directory.

3. Copy the updated itemType.js file that you extracted from the IC62727.zip file to this WebSphere Sensor Events server directory:
   \Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\AVSEnterprise.ear\ibmatv_ATVWeb.war\javascript

   After updating the javascript file, you need to restart your browser to clean the script cache. There is no need to recycle WebSphere Application Server or the IBM Asset 
   Inventory Management Services application.


3. Copy the WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62727.fxtag file to this folder: \Program Files\IBM\AVS\properties\version
     

4.0 UNINSTALLATION
-------------------

1. Restore (copy) the backup javascript file from the \Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance\IC62727\backup directory to the 
   \Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\AVSEnterprise.ear\ibmatv_ATVWeb.war\javascript
   directory.

2. Delete the file located at: \Program Files\IBM\AVS\properties\version\WebSphere_Sensor_Events_AIMS.IC62727.fxtag
