Installation

Installation procedure for Microsoft Windows operating systems

  1. Create a folder named maintenance in the WebSphere Sensor Events server C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID directory.
  2. Unpack the .zip file, IC63650.zip, to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance directory. The .zip file contains these files:
  3. Create a folder named backup in the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory.
  4. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63369\backup directory.
  5. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to these locations:
  6. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Server.ear directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650\backup directory.
  7. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to these locations:
  8. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory and copy the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file to directory C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\properties\version.
  9. Open the WebSphere Sensor Event administrative console in a web browser.
  10. Click Event Templates.
  11. Under Create Event Templates, click New.
  12. For the event template name, enter */Gpio/OutputRequest/execute.
  13. For the description, enter GPIO command from controller.
  14. In the Available Channels list, select dc.out.channel: JMS.
  15. Click the right arrow button to move dc.out.channel: JMS to the Selected Channels list.
  16. Click Create Event Template.
  17. Restart WebSphere Application Server.

Installation procedure for Linux operating systems

  1. Create a folder named maintenance in the WebSphere Sensor Events server /opt/IBM/RFID directory.
  2. Unpack the .zip file, IC63650.zip, to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance directory. The .zip file contains these files:
  3. Create a folder named backup in the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650 directory.
  4. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650/backup directory.
  5. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650 directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to these locations:
  6. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Server.ear directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63369/backup directory.
  7. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650 directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to these locations:
  8. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650 directory and copy the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file to directory /opt/IBM/RFID/properties/version.
  9. Open the WebSphere Sensor Event administrative console in a web browser.
  10. Click Event Templates.
  11. Under Create Event Templates, click New.
  12. For the event template name, enter */Gpio/OutputRequest/execute.

Installation procedure for WebSphere Sensor Events Toolkit

  1. Follow the instructions to install the toolkit and add the projects to a workspace.
  2. Create a folder named maintenance in the RFID directory of the IBM project.
  3. Unpack the .zip file, IC63650.zip, to the \IBM\RFID\maintenance directory. The .zip file contains these files:
  4. Create a folder named backup in the \IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory.
  5. Navigate to \IBM\RFID\premises\api\lib and copy file ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar to \IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650\backup.
  6. Navigate to the \IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory and copy file ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar to folder \IBM\RFID\premises\api\lib.
  7. Navigate to the \IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650 directory and copy the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file to directory \IBM\RFID\properties\version.
  8. Refresh the IBM project.
  9. Navigate to the \IBM\RFID\premises\api\lib directory and copy file ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar to all custom projects reshipping this file.
  10. Follow the installation instructions for the Windows operating systems to install this fix in all WebSphere Application Server profiles used by the toolkit.

Uninstallation

Uninstallation procedure for Microsoft Windows operating systems

  1. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650\backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to all previously updated directories.
  2. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650\backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to all previously updated directories.
  3. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\properties\version directory and delete the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file.
  4. Open the WebSphere Sensor Event administrative console in a web browser.
  5. Click Event Templates.
  6. Click View Template Properties for event template */Gpio/OutputRequest/execute.
  7. Click Delete Event Template.
  8. Confirm the deletion.
  9. Restart WebSphere Application Server.

Uninstallation procedure for Linux operating systems

  1. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650/backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to all previously updated directories.
  2. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC63650/backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_ejb.jar file to all previously updated directories.
  3. Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/properties/version directory and delete the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file.
  4. Open the WebSphere Sensor Event administrative console in a web browser.
  5. Click Event Templates.
  6. Click View Template Properties for event template */Gpio/OutputRequest/execute.
  7. Click Delete Event Template.
  8. Confirm the deletion.
  9. Restart WebSphere Application Server.

Uninstallation procedure for WebSphere Sensor Event Toolkit

  1. Navigate to the \IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC63650\backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_premises_api_client.jar file to all previously updated directories.
  2. Navigate to the \IBM\RFID\properties\version directory and delete the WebSphere_Sensor_Events.IC63650.fxtag file.
  3. Refresh the IBM project.
  4. Follow the uninstallation instructions for the Windows operating systems to uninstall this fix from all WebSphere Application server profiles used by the toolkit.
