Updating an existing version of CICS CM plug-in
If you
already have the CICS CM plug-in
installed you can use the CICS
Explorer Software Updates function to update the code to the
latest level, without having to reinstall the product. Before updating
the CICS CM plug-in, you must
update the CICS Explorer to
the latest level. If you do not, CICS CM
plug-in might not work with the old version of CICS Explorer.
Note: If you are
using the CICS CM plug-in V2.1.0.5
with CICS Explorer V1.0.0.4
or V1.0.0.5 and you upgrade to CICS Explorer V1.0.0.6 your CICS CM plug-in might not run.
You must upgrade your CICS CM
plug-in to V2.1.0.6 if you upgrade your CICS Explorer to V1.0.0.6.
Updating instructions are in the task Checking for
and installing software updates in the CICS Explorer help documentation. To
access the task from the main CICS
Explorer menu:

Known issues and limitations
The
following limitations exist in CICS CM
plug-in Version 2.1.0.6
- In the Create Definition wizard there is a Data Repository field,
that has content assist. If you press the Ctrl and space bar keys
together, when you are in the text box, you see a list of repositories.
In CICS CM plug-in, Ctrl and
spacebar display repositories from only CICSPlex® SM, so it does not display information
for CICS CM and you cannot
currently disable it. Do not change the value in the repository after
you have opened the dialog. However, you can change the value in the
resource group text box in the dialog.
