| Problem Description | CICS Interdependency Analyzer plugin fails to connect on startup |
| Problem Summary | The CICS Explorer with the Interdependency Analyzer (IA) perspective open is started. After clicking OK at the Signon dialog box to connect to a system using existing preferences, the connection is never successfully made. The user must cancel the connection attempt and then redefine the connection preferences in order to successfully connect. The IA connection code does not manage its connections properly in a multi-threaded environment, and so multiple connections can be created on different threads when the intention is that the same connection is reused. This results in connections not being tidied up after processing has finished. |

To install the CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in, there are two options:
An advantage of using the IBM-hosted update-site is that it is kept up-to-date with the latest version. Users can search for any available updates to the CICS Interdependency Analyzer plug-in periodically within the CICS Explorer. They can choose if and when to install them at their convenience. Alternatively the user can choose to get the CICS Explorer to automatically search for updates and inform the user when they become available.
Otherwise updates can be downloaded on demand from Fix Central, but users will need to check the Fix Central website for any further updates available, and download them as appropriate. Fix Central: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
