Before downloading the interim fix, perform the following steps:

1. This Interim Fix can be applied on WebSphere ILOG JRules version(s) 7.1.1.4. Ensure that your current installation of JRules is compliant.
   This action prevents technical problems that might occur after the installation and configuration of the interim fix.
2. This fix applies to Eclipse embedded in the Rule Studio provided with the installation. If you are using another eclipse the fix does not apply.

Before installing this interim fix, perform the following steps:

1. Download the interim fix to an appropriate location

Downloading the interim fix to an appropriate location

Note the location of the downloaded file 7.1.1.4-WS-BRMS-IF012.zip.

Installing

To install the interim fix start the Rule Studio:

1. Open the menu Help > Software Updates...
2. In the tab Available Software click Add Site...
3. In the window Add Site click Archive...
4. In the window Repository Archive browse to the location of 7.1.1.4-WS-BRMS-IF012.zip
5. Select the ZIP file and Click Open
6. In the window Add Site click Ok
7. In the tab Available Software select the category Eclipse Help Patch
8. In the tab Available Software click Install...
9. Follow the instructions for the installation and restart Rule Studio to complete the installation.

Rule Studio is ready to use and no further action are required.

After applying Interim Fix 012, you can go back to the original fix pack by following this steps.

To uninstall the interim fix start Rule Studio:

1. Open the menu Help > Software Updates...
2. In the tab Installed Software select the name Help Patch (bugzilla 258974,...)
3. click Uninstall...
4. Follow the instructions for the uninstallation and restart Rule Studio to complete the removal.
