Before downloading the interim fix, perform the following steps:

1. This Interim Fix can be applied on WebSphere ILOG Rules for .NET version(s) 7.1.1.5. Ensure that your current installation is compliant.
   This action prevents technical problems that might occur after the installation and configuration of the interim fix.

Before installing this interim fix, perform the following steps:

1. Download the interim fix to an appropriate location
2. Uncompress the interim fix

Downloading the interim fix to an appropriate location

Note the location of the downloaded file 7.1.1.5-WS-R4NET-WIN-IF028.zip, this file can be deleted after installation.

Uncompressing the interim fix installation image

This interim fix installation is compressed using zip.
Extract the interim fix installation image in the folder ILOG Rules for .NET.
A folder IF028 should be created.

To install the interim fix:

1. Open a Visual Studio Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Change folder to ILOG Rules for .NET\IF028
3. Run the command: install

Rule Studio for .NET and Rule Execution Server for .NET are updated.

If you have deployed an application including the DLL ILOG.Rules.RuleEngine.dll you need to update it using the file Bin/Public Assemblies/ILOG.Rules.RuleEngine.dll.

Perform the necessary tasks after installation

none.

After applying Interim Fix 7.1.1 Fix pack 5 interim fix 28, you can go back to the original fix pack by following this steps.

To uninstall the interim fix:

1. Open a Visual Studio Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Change folder to ILOG Rules for .NET\IF028
3. Run the command: uninstall
