Interim fix installation order (Installation Manager) ======================================================== JR50511 (repository name: 8.0.1.2-WS-BSPACE-IFJR50511) 3. Interim Fix Installation instructions ======================================== a. Stop the stand-alone server or network deployment environment. b. For each physical installation (of Business Process Manager, Business Monitor, or stand-alone Business Space) in the environment, perform the following steps: i. Download 8.0.1.2-WS-BSPACE-IFJR50511.zip. ii. Edit Installation Manager preferences to point to the 8.0.1.2-WS-BSPACE-IFJR50511.zip repository. Then install the interim fix using instructions available at http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/dmndhelp/v8r0m1/topic/com.ibm.wbpm.mon.imuc.doc/topics/tins_updating_inter.html 4. Post Installation Manager install instructions ================================================= There are two options for propagating the /installableApps/BusinessSpace/BSpaceEAR.ear to existing profiles. 1. Manually update the BSpaceEAR.ear file using the WebSphere administrative console. This method should be chosen only if no other Business Space interim fix package is being installed at the same time as JR50511. If additional information is needed related to the steps below, please refer to the following documentation section: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/info/ae/ae/trun_app_upgrade_console.html. Make sure to replace the entire application as covered in step 3b of this section. a. Open the WebSphere administrative console and navigate to Applications > Application types > WebSphere enterprise applications. b. Select the BSpaceEAR file and choose “Export” to backup the version of the application prior to applying the JR50511 changes. c. Select the BSpaceEAR file and choose “Update”. d. Choose to replace the entire application. e. Obtain the new BSpaceEAR.ear file from the file system at /installableApps/BusinessSpace. f. Make sure that server mappings are retained. g. Save the changes. h. If a network deployment environment is being used, then synchronize changes with nodes. i. Clear the browser's cache. 2. If the BSpaceEAR.ear file is not updated through the WebSphere administrative console, then the alternative is performing a profile upgrade. If this option is chosen, please check and restore the server mappings for the BSpaceEAR.ear application. The command syntax to update Business Space in existing profiles differs based on the type of topology. - For a stand-alone environment: Change directories to \BusinessSpace\scripts and run one of the following commands as appropriate for your platform: Windows: \BusinessSpace\scripts>>upgradeBSpaceProfile.bat -profileName -nodeName -serverName Linux/UNIX: /BusinessSpace/scripts>>upgradeBSpaceProfile.sh -profileName -nodeName -serverName where is the name of the stand-alone profile. - For a clustered environment: Note that a /BusinessSpace/upgrade/BusinessSpace.upgrade file must be created before running the BSpaceProfileUpgrade.ant file in a clustered environment. The following two lines should be added to the file. #BSpace profile upgrade file BusinessSpace/scripts/upgradeBSpaceProfile.py Change directories to and run one of the following commands as appropriate for your platform, for each cluster: Windows: - For English locales: bin\ws_ant.bat -f BusinessSpace/upgrade/BSpaceProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true -Dcluster= - For non-English locales: bin\ws_ant.bat -f BusinessSpace\upgrade\BSpaceProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true -Dcluster= Linux/UNIX: bin/ws_ant.sh -f BusinessSpace/upgrade/BSpaceProfileUpgrade.ant -profileName -Dupgrade=true -Dcluster= where is the name of the deployment manager profile and is the name of the cluster. Clear the browser's cache. 5. Uninstall instructions ========================= a. Stop the stand-alone server or network deployment environment. b. Using IBM Installation Manager, uninstall JR50511. c. Start the stand-alone server or network deployment environment. d. Open the WebSphere administrative console and navigate to Applications > Application types > WebSphere enterprise applications. e. Select the BSpaceEAR file and choose “Update”. f. Choose to replace the entire application. g. Obtain the new BSpaceEAR.ear file from the file system at /installableApps/BusinessSpace. h. Make sure that server mappings are retained. i. Save the changes. j. If a network deployment environment is being used, then synchronize changes with nodes. k. Clear the browser's cache.
