This can occur when the application is expanded on the disk (as opposed to being packaged in a JAR/WAR/EAR/etc.). Note that this is applicable to loose configuration which is used by the WDT tooling in Eclipse development environments. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Core PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The server does not automatically restart a running application after annotation-based metadata has changed RECOMMENDATION: None If a user makes a change to annotation-based metadata in their application, the server runtime may not restart the application or recognize the change. This can occur when the application is expanded on the disk (as opposed to being packaged in a JAR/WAR/EAR/etc.). Note that this is applicable to loose configuration which is used by the WebSphere development tools (WDT) tooling in Eclipse development environments. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: This fix ensures that the application is restarted when changes to the application metadata are made.
