Description/symptom of problem: PI58841 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: An OSGi web application using JSP and JSTL by default currently needs to explicitly import the JSTL spec packages. Such an application would have worked on 8558 and will show JSP compilation errors when a JSP using JSTL is accessed. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An OSGi web app using jsp and jstl by default currently needs to explicitly import the jstl spec packages. RECOMMENDATION: None An OSGi web application using jsps and jstl needs to explicitly import the jstl spec packages. Such an application would have worked on 8558 and will show jsp compilation errors when a jsp using jstl is accessed. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: Classloading structure for jsp for osgi applications has been modified so the default setting of the backwards compatibility flag makes the jstl spec packages available to any osgi web application. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.10.
