Description/symptom of problem: PI73118 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: This ifix is necessary enhance the Intelligent Management Enabled WebSphere Plugin with the ability to function with routing rules. LOCAL FIX: PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of the Intelligent Management enabled WebSphere Plugin that desire to use routing rules PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Enhance the Intelligent Management enabled WebSphere Plugin with routing rule capabilities RECOMMENDATION: None Prior to this fix the Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature of the Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server could not route to the same application in multiple cells/collectives. This fix delivers a new capability to allow routing to the same application in multiple cells/collectives. Prior to this fix the Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature also could not specify exactly how to handle requests based on specific characteristics of the request. This fix delivers a new capability to use routing rules that examine request characteristics to route the request to specific targets, or to reject or redirect the request. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature of the Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server has been enhanced to route to the same application in multiple cells/collectives, and to route to a subset of available servers using routing rules.
