RECOMMENDATION: None Ampersand character is not escaped by the XCI serializer under certain scenarios. This causes some applications to fail with the following exception: com.ibm.xml.xci.errors.XCIDynamicErrorException: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference. This occurs mostly when the content of an entire XML tree is stored within an XML element. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The algorithm that handles ampersand characters within the XCI serializer was corrected. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.4.
